Following on from the successful completion of the Kandama project, CIMC MBS was engaged directly by FMG to supply and deliver buildings to two of their newest accommodation villages. This was the first time CIMC MBS had been engaged directly and demonstrated that CIMC MBS had the ability to deliver to the end user.
Karntama was an extension to the Kandama Village that CIMC supplied to early that year. Again, the modules were configured in curved cluster arrangements over two storeys. Each cluster consisted of 16 and 20 buildings, walkways and staircases. As with the Kandama project, the buildings needed to be cyclone resistant and suitable to the environment.
Ellie Village was a brand new accommodation village that was situated with the beautiful ranges of FMG's solomon ranges.
The projects were delivered under two management's teams within FMG. CIMC MBS was able to adapt its approach to this and provide both teams the service and delivery they demanded.
Each module had 4 rooms with adjoining ensuites. Each had the latest communications hardware and energy saving devices installed. The two storey walkways were delivered in stages that were transported with the buildings and supplied with assembly manuals and a kit of parts.
